The Nike Dunk Low SP CLOT Cork is a collaboration that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the renowned streetwear and lifestyle brand based in Hong Kong.
The CLOT x Nike Special Project Dunk Low in Cork sports an upper totally constructed of—you guessed it—cork. This use of sustainable material is a nod to CLOT founder Edison Chen's use of cork board to collect his creative ideas. White laces crossover a cork-colored padded nylon tongue. The brown tongue lining and sock liner mirror the brown rubber outsole molded for traction and impact absorption. The Sail-colored midsole with cupsole construction and tonal stitching rounds out the makeup of this shoe.
What we love most about this shoe are the hits of branding, some quite clever. Nike branding appears on the woven tongue patch while CLOT branding adorns the sock liner and medial collar. The red Nike side panel Swoosh is affixed to the shoe via Velcro. Beneath the heel tabs, one says 2003 and the other 2023, both in Arabic numerals as well as Chinese characters.
