How does the ASICS Gel-NYC fit compared to the Gel-Kayano 14?

The Gel-NYC fits truer to size with a slightly wider toe box than the Kayano 14. Both use the layered mesh and suede construction of 1990s ASICS runners. If you sized up half on the Kayano 14 for comfort, you may not need to on the Gel-NYC.

What makes the Gel-NYC a different pick from the New Balance 9060 or 990v6?

The Gel-NYC sits lower and has a more minimal silhouette than both New Balance options. It reads quieter at the heel and lacks the chunky midsole stack. For buyers who want the archive runner look without the bulk, the Gel-NYC is the sharper choice.

The Terracotta Cream or Oatmeal Bisque colourways pair the most naturally with beige, cream, and olive tones common in Indian summer wardrobes. The Steeple Grey Cream is the neutral pick that works across almost any palette without standing out.
