Is the Brooks Ghost 17 the right shoe for daily training runs in India?

Yes. The Ghost 17 is built for neutral runners logging consistent daily miles: the DNA Loft v3 foam is soft enough for road comfort without feeling unstable. It suits heel-to-midfoot strikers well. If you overpronate, the Ghost 17 is not the right shoe; look at a stability trainer instead. The Ghost 17 GTX adds waterproofing but runs slightly warmer, which is worth noting for Indian summers.

How does the Ghost 17 GTX differ from the standard Ghost 17?

The GTX version uses a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane between the upper and lining, keeping feet dry through rain and wet surfaces. The tradeoff is breathability: the GTX runs warmer and is less suited to summer running in Indian plains cities. It is the practical choice for monsoon training or hill runs where wet trails are inevitable.

How does Brooks Ghost 17 sizing run for Indian feet?

The Ghost 17 runs true to size with a medium-width toe box that works for most Indian foot shapes. The fit is plush and accommodating rather than snug. Runners with wide feet may find the standard width comfortable, though Brooks does not stock a wide option at KM. Size up half if you prefer extra toe room on long runs.
