Which XC 72 colourway should I buy first for everyday wear?

Start with Triple Black or Castlerock, both work across most outfits without drawing attention to the colourway itself. Move to the Bright Mint Ginger or Green White Gum pairs once you already own a neutral pair and want a colour statement piece.

Does the XC 72's low profile suit Indian streetwear or is it too technical looking?

The mesh and suede mix reads more technical than a plain leather sneaker, pairing well with cargo pants or track pants for a runner core look popular in Indian streetwear right now. Keep the rest of the outfit simple so the shoe's texture stands out.

How do I clean the mesh upper on the XC 72 after Indian street or monsoon wear?

Brush off dried mud rather than scrubbing wet mesh, which can stretch the fibres. Hand wash with mild soap for deeper stains and air dry away from direct heat, since mesh dries faster than leather but can shrink slightly if left near a heater.

How does the XC 72 differ from New Balance's 990 running silhouette?

The XC 72 runs a flatter, cross country inspired profile with a firmer ride built for trail style use, while the 990 uses a more cushioned, rounded midsole built for road running comfort. Pick the XC 72 for style first, the 990 for daily mileage.
