Is the Raffia tote a good first Prada bag or better as a second piece?

It works well as a second Prada bag once you already own a structured leather piece for formal use, since raffia suits casual daytime wear specifically. If this is your only Prada bag, expect it to feel less versatile across formal occasions.

Does a raffia tote suit Indian summer and beach or resort trips?

Yes, the woven texture and lighter weight make it a natural fit for Goa or resort holidays and daytime summer outings across Indian cities. Pair it with linen or cotton outfits rather than formal wear, where the texture reads too casual.

How do I protect a raffia tote from Indian monsoon or humidity damage?

Raffia is a natural fibre and does not handle wet weather well, avoid carrying it during heavy rain entirely. Store it with silica packets in humid cities to prevent mould developing in the woven fibres, and keep it out of direct sun for long stretches.

How does the Raffia tote differ from Prada's Saffiano leather totes in durability?

Saffiano leather resists scratches and moisture far better than woven raffia, making it the more durable everyday choice. The Raffia tote trades some durability for a lighter, more seasonal look, better suited to occasional rather than daily heavy use.
