Argyle or Aran knit: which Ralph Lauren sweater should a first time buyer start with?

The Aran Knit Flag pullover is the more versatile daily piece, working over a shirt for office or plain with jeans on weekends. The Argyle vest is a layering piece best saved for someone who already owns a base pullover and wants a preppier finish.

How do Ralph Lauren sweaters work through a north Indian winter?

Wool cashmere blends like the Argyle vest suit Delhi and north Indian winters worn over a full sleeve shirt, while pure cotton blends work better in milder south Indian evenings. Layer a light jacket over any of these once temperatures drop below 15 degrees.

How should wool and cashmere blend Ralph Lauren sweaters be washed in India?

Hand wash cold or use a wool cycle, never a regular hot machine wash, since heat shrinks the wool fibres. Dry flat rather than on a hanger to keep the shoulder shape, and store with mothballs during humid off season months.

What is the difference between the cotton wool blend and the wool cashmere sweaters?

The cotton wool blend runs lighter and more breathable, better for transitional weather in October or February. The wool cashmere pieces are warmer and softer against skin, worth the extra cost if you live somewhere with a real winter like Delhi or Srinagar.
