The adidas Handball Spezial Collegiate Navy Clear Sky Gum (GS) updates the classic Handball Spezial silhouette with an all-suede upper and a blue-on-blue colorway.
Originally designed as an indoor handball shoe, this low-top sneaker takes elements from its sporty heritage and gives them a modern twist. For instance, the sneaker boasts a gum rubber outsole that provides superior traction on indoor surfaces like hardwood. When compared to the Samba, the Handball Spezial has a thicker sole that provides extra cushioning. However, dark Collegiate Navy suede replaces traditional nubuck on the upper for a soft feel. Pops of Clear Sky decorate the serrated 3-Stripes logo, the tongue’s retro-inspired adidas branding, and the leather heel mustache.
