The New Balance 550 Aime Leon Dore Masaryk Community Gym Green is part of a collaboration between New Balance and Aime Leon Dore, a New York-based lifestyle brand known for its preppy, vintage streetwear.
This chunky sneaker draws inspiration from Masaryk Community Gym, in New York, and incorporates elements of retro gym style. For example, the sneaker boasts a slightly yellow leather base, which is reminiscent of aged, white leather. Tiny perforations across the side panels and vamp, as well as the Classic Pine details, also contribute to the sneaker’s vintage appeal. The padded, mesh collar displays a logo tag that celebrates both New Balance and Aime Leon Dore.
