The New Balance 990v4 MiUSA Joe Freshgoods 1998 Intro represents a collaboration between the Chicago streetwear designer and the New Balance ultimate running shoe. This sneaker gets its inspiration from the film Belly and the XXL magazine cover featuring DMX, Ja Rule, and Jay-Z.
The Intro New Balance 99v4 Joe Freshgoods sports an upper with a black mesh base overlaid in sandy-colored suede. A black leather N adorns the side panel while 1998 and Made in the USA branding grace the heel tab. New Balance branding also appears on the heel. Joe Freshgoods branding appears on one red insole while New Balance branding appears on the other. Dual branding also appears on each tongue tag.
The aspect of this sneaker that our shoe experts appreciate the most is the ENCAP midsole with its lightweight foam and durable polyurethane rim that provides ultimate cushioning and energy return. This sits atop a black and gray rubber outsole with grooves and a waffle pattern for traction.
