This sneaker incorporates several design elements from the original 998, including the responsive ABZORB cushioning underfoot. It stands out because of the shaggy suede displayed on the overlays, the tongue, and the panels around the lace cage. The shaggy suede is soft to the touch and comes in a smokey grey. Navy accents are on panels beneath the grey suede, a line down the foam midsole, and the signature New Balance "N" and "NB" embroidering on the heel.
